Happy May everyone! It is getting towards the end of the school year, so that means that it’s time to start thinking about next year. At our school we have a goal: getting more people and communities in our state involved!
One of the students in our program suggested that we send a care package to a nearby school to inform them about all of the fun and successful things we have accomplished this year with Fuel Up to Play 60. Every few meetings our club created care packages. Each contained index cards from every student and Program Advisor involved explaining what they enjoy the most about this program, also we send Fuel Up to Play 60 SWAG (pins, towels, buttons, etc.).
Finally, we added a teddy bear with the Fuel Up to Play 60 logo on it. Afterwards we send it to a school in our state. After we sent a few care packages, the New England Dairy and Food Council took notice and started sending their own versions of these to schools around the region, but replaced the teddy bears with cows!
This time of year is definitely the time for getting others involved, who knows you might even impact the entire country!
