I became involved in Fuel Up to Play 60 when I started the 6th grade, and a couple of friends told me about the program. To get involved, I had to complete Fuel Up to Play 60 activities. I earned Points by participating in Plays such as Breakfast in the Classroom, Just Dance and the 100 Mile Club (I had to run 100 miles in a school year), and help to get other students involved. My gym teacher Mr. Emerson kept us motivated throughout the school year!

I found out I won the Away Game Experience for being a Top Points Earner in October. I was the first person in Wisconsin to win. My family, my school and I were very excited! The prize included two tickets to an away game of my favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. It also included travel, hotel, and expenses for us to have a great time.

We decided to go to the Packers and Vikings game in Minnesota. We had a really nice hotel room the night before to get us ready for the game. My dad and I went to the Mall of America the day before the game to stock up on Packers supplies. When my dad and I were at the game we got to go on the field and watch all the players practice. We saw Randall Cobb and Julius Peppers and watched the whole team running out of the tunnel!

We were very cold but were really excited when the Packers’ fans started to yell “GO PACK GO”! The Packers won 30-13. It was great. I never expected anything from the activities that I was doing and I am very happy I was picked. It was a great experience!
