I joined Fuel Up to Play 60 because I felt it is important to live an active and healthy lifestyle. I have been involved in the program for 3 years, and during this time I have gotten into better shape, my grades have improved and I have the opportunity to stress the importance of this program to other kids. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with National Dairy Council and the NFL to promote this lifestyle to students and get them to begin living healthier than they are presently doing.
I have attended two Student Ambassador Summits where I learned how speak in public, which has boosted my confidence. This program has been life changing for me. I have been able to take what I learned and bring it to students across the country through my participation in triathlons, breakfast speeches, rallies, and speaking engagements with the New England Patriots.
I continue to do my best to make an impact on other students in my community every day, even if it is hard to do. I find it fascinating to see how many people participate in the program and share their experiences. I see others doing cool events at their schools, and it gives me inspiration to use and adapt these ideas while I plan my school programs.
Fuel Up to Play 60 has helped me gain trust in others and believe they will have a positive impact on others. When I speak, I trust others that they will go and impact their community in the most effective way possible.
Most of my motivation comes from family and others I meet. They always give me ideas on how to approach a group or a conversation in an understanding way. Fuel Up to Play 60 has given me the opportunity to approach kids of all ages.
I hope that I can encourage all of you to make an impact on anyone. Whether it be family, friends or people within the community, I trust you to make a difference and stress the importance of healthy living and ideas across the community or country.
