Hello, my name is Danny and I am writing to share my experience while at the Chicago Bears Fuel Up to Play 60 Game as the State Ambassador. I would first like to thank my mom, my Program Advisors Mrs. Zimmerman and Mrs. Williams, Lorna Riggs, Tobi Iott, the Chicago Bears Staff, Chicago Bears players, Alumni players, Fuel Up to Play 60, and the Midwest Dairy Council for supporting me and honoring me with this opportunity.
When the day finally arrived, I could hardly contain my excitement for what was ahead. Little did I know, it would impact me so much. I was given the privilege to go out on the Chicago Bears 50 Yard Line for the COIN TOSS! It was an amazing feeling to be able to walk out on the field and see just how big the Bears football players are in comparison to myself.
I also had the opportunity to meet some of the Alumni players. Aside from my tremendous excitement, I felt so proud to represent the Fuel Up to Play 60 program for my middle school and the entire State of Illinois. My day was surrounded with welcoming faces as I entered the field. I personally still can’t believe how lucky I was to be chosen for this opportunity and I am truly grateful to all the people who helped make this happen.
I would like to share one piece of advice to anyone who thinks this cannot happen for them: it can! I learned that you can truly do anything you want as long as you put your mind to it. It was such an amazing feeling stepping out onto the turf field, looking around, seeing all the people, and then my face up on the Jumbo-Tron; what an extraordinary feeling! This was a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget.
