Rachel B.Not in a fall sport? That’s ok; there are plenty of other activities for you to do to get in those 60 minutes a day! I, for example, am not in a fall sport but my schedule is very busy. After school on Mondays and Wednesdays I have workouts that include agility, running, and jumping, and then on Tuesdays and Thursdays I have weight lifting.  Also, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, I have open gym for basketball at 6:30am.

Each week gets harder and harder. It is very necessary to make sure you are eating healthy foods because if you’re eating unhealthy foods, your workouts are for nothing. Another reason that eating healthy is so important is because when you are being active, you are burning lots of calories and you need the right foods to keep your body healthy.  It is also very important that you are getting enough water to stay hydrated. If you aren’t getting enough water, it will be hard for you to stay active and have energy.

If you are in a fall sport or just doing other physical activities you may become very busy, but be sure to keep up on your homework and save the time you need for it.  The last thing to remember when you are active is that you need rest! It can be really hard on your body if you aren’t getting enough sleep.  Keep these things in mind the next time you are doing physical activities! Have a great school year, eat healthy, and get active!
