Have you ever wondered what your school would be like if you tried something new? Something healthy? Something effective? Well, many students and adults have taken the initiative and turned that dream into a reality by starting the Fuel Up to Play 60 program in their schools. By doing this, they not only helped change the culture and lives of the students at their schools, but they also now serve as role models to other people seeking to make a difference in their lives and the lives of the people that surround them. What one thing every school with Fuel Up to Play 60 has in common, is they know that it is never too late to make a change, and make a difference. It doesn’t matter how old you are or how big your school is, you can make a change by bringing Fuel Up to Play 60 to your school or a school you know of that is in need of a healthy revamp.
Many students and adults like you have taken this opportunity and started the program in your schools. You have kicked it off with high hopes, but maybe it didn’t start off the exact way you had planned. What should you do now? You want to find a way to get kids involved and enthusiastic about the program like you are, but what activities should you do to accomplish this goal? The sky is the limit. It really is. The “Playbook” on FuelUpToPlay60.com is a great way to get ideas on events and activities that you can start in your school. Also, other students can be of great help in thinking of ways to get their peers involved. So, speak freely about suggestions on how to bring this program to each student personally and let others do the same. The only rule that you must remember and follow is NEVER GIVE UP. Don’t ever rule out an idea because you think it will fail. You never know how successful something can be until you attempt it. It’s never too late to try something, so try, and try, and try. You can make a difference and you can start a healthy revolution.
Thanks for such a positive article Kaylene! I was a bit confused about starting Fuel Up to Play 60 at my high school but reading your article just now has boosted my confidence. I could actually almost visualize you saying, “NEVER GIVE UP!” Thanks for the pep talk, coach.
Wow! What an inspiring message. This message just gave me the pep that I needed to go to my school and continue to make a change for the positive, even though I feel like a small voice. School begins Monday and I need to begin that 1st day.
Thanks, guys! Good Luck this year, and if you need anything, feel free to contact me at any time!:)
Pretty good to do.
