Animals have shed their winter coats, birds are laying their eggs, buds are emerging from plants, and everything is starting to grow! Hold UP, can you believe it? Get pumped because of all the new activities you can do during this wonderful time of year. Spring has so much potential, meaning the physical activities you can do are endless.

Here is a list of some of my favorite things to do during the spring:

• SPORTS! Playing sports with friends or on an organized team is one of my favorite things to do because the weather is perfect. I love playing soccer! Playing soccer is fun even in the rain…getting to slide around on the grass and get dirty. I also love to play street hockey or basketball with the neighborhood kids.
• Exploring! There is so much to see in nature that comes with the spring. I enjoy taking a hike in a local forest preserve as a great way to escape everyday life and have fun with nature. Climbing trees is another great way to get active in nature and explore.
• Flying a kite! Although I don’t do this often, with a perfect wind and a cool kite it is a very fun thing to do.
• Walking the dog! Taking my dog for a run or nice long walk is great exercise for the dog and me.
• Scavenger Hunts! These are very fun to do with friends or your family on a nice spring day to have fun outside in a unique way.

    I was actually on top of half dome at Yosemite National Park which is a 16 mile round-hike to an elevation of 8,800 ft. It was amazing and I felt like I was on top of the world!
