I first got involved in my community by joining the service club at my school. We are currently helping the veterans in our local area by planning a special veterans’ parade. Currently we are making medals to give to them during our visit to the VA!
In the future we will be planting gardens, holding food drives, and many other things to help make our community a better place for everyone. When you dedicate your time to helping others and working toward improving the overall condition of your community, you have already made a difference. Just by stepping up and putting in the effort you have already made the community stronger. You never know how much something you may think of as a small gesture may have a huge impact on someone else’s life. When we put work into our communities and help others, great things happen.
Help out your community during Make A Difference Day on October 24!
