I think Fuel Up to Play 60 is a great program.  It helps people stay healthy and not get sick so much. At Miguel Juarez Middle School, we have good nutrition and we exercise. Fuel Up to Play 60 has taught me that exercising and eating healthy are important.

Fuel Up to Play 60 has taught me that exercising both at school and at home are important. When I’m at home, I play Xbox Kinect sports and I jump on my trampoline. When it’s nice outside, I walk and run with my friend.  Sometimes we race each other to see who wins. Some days after school, I play football with my friend and my friend’s family at her house.  It’s so much better than sitting down and watching TV!

I have also learned to eat healthy through Fuel Up to Play 60. I used to go to fast food places and eat greasy food, but now I order salads. I eat breakfast every day at school and drink a lot of water. I also eat more whole grains.

Being healthy has helped me at home. When my mom was pregnant this summer, I helped her eat healthy so my brother would not be born with diabetes. My brother was born healthy!  Now my whole family eats healthy because of Fuel Up to Play 60 and me!

Fuel Up to Play 60 has helped me, my family and my school. Now I know that eating healthy and exercising are important. I love being a part of Fuel Up to Play 60 and help run the activities in school. By being a part of Fuel Up to Play 60, I am able to help not just myself, but other kids in school and my family.
