I am a student at Bath Middle School in Bath, Maine. Fuel Up To Play 60 has had a big impact on my school. This year our school won a Xbox 360 with Kinect through the Casting Call Challenge! The Xbox 360 we won is used in many ways around our school. When the Maine weather makes us have to stay in for recess, we use it in the lunch room. When we first got it, so many kids wanted to play that we had to come up with a selection process so everyone could play. We decided to have a jar with all the lunch table numbers in it, if your table number is drawn you get to play. Everyone – including teachers – gets involved and sometimes people have competitions to see who can get the highest score in different games. The console the Xbox is in has wheels which means teachers can bring it into rooms and use it as a reward or as a fun group activity. We have many games including Kinect Sports, Adventures, Disneyland, Disney Pixar Rush and Dance Central 2. The variety of games makes it interesting and everyone can find a game they enjoy. The best thing about the Xbox though, is seeing everyone coming together to be active.
