I wanted to share that I was recently on my local news for Fuel Up to Play 60! WCAX (our local news channel) came to my school, and Julie the News Reporter interviewed me. She asked me questions like “What does your school do with Fuel Up to Play 60?” and I told her about our school’s Fuel Up to Play 60 activities like Active April Day, Get Up and Get Moving, and a lot more. She also asked me about the Summit and what it was like to meet Panthers players (I said it was a once in a lifetime thing!). I also told her about our Fuel Up to Play 60 funded snowshoes, and how I won a customized jersey. Before the interview she asked what my favorite sport to play was and it’s volleyball, so during the interview we were playing volleyball. It wasn’t just me playing, later in the interview we had my whole team in the gym playing volleyball, hula hooping, and jumping rope, and it’s all on TV! It was really cool two nights later seeing myself on the news, and everybody was asking me for my autograph.
So that’s my story of being on the news! Watch the TV clip below!
