Fuel Up to Play 60 has been an inspiration to my school and me. My school has given out healthier breakfast and lunch. Every day you can see people being more active and enjoying themselves in activities and sports while having lots of fun. Now and then people talk about their futures. With Fuel Up to Play 60, our students know how important fitness is for you, your body and your health. It’s something to concentrate on and look forward to doing every day. It has made an obvious difference in our school. There are a lot less people on their phones or computers and more people outside enjoying a sport.
Fuel Up to Play 60 has inspired me. When my grandfather was dying in Puerto Rico, where I’m from, I would go visit him in the hospital. He loved to tell stories about how he played sports when he was young. He said he tried every single sport and loved going outside and playing sports. He said there were no computers and cell phones, just kids having fun outside. My grandfather told me to be active. So, when I got to middle school, I joined the Fuel Up to Play 60 and tried out for volleyball. I made the team! I know that my grandfather is watching me succeed.
I believe in the Fuel Up to Play 60 program and I believe in myself. I believe that this program will change peoples’ lives. The program has already changed my life. I am happy our school is a part of Fuel Up to Play 60 and I will continue spreading the word of Fuel Up to Play 60 to my peers, family and community.
