Last month, our school’s Fuel Up to Play 60’s Student Team hosted a 3-on-3 Tournament at our high school. With almost 20 local sponsors and over $2,000 in donations/funding, we planned and organized an amazing, power-packed, and extraordinary basketball tournament!
We used the funding we received to create custom and exclusive FUTP 60 t-shirts, and we also had a DJ/MC host the event! With some of the best games, our audience was able to enjoy quite a few thrilling raffle prizes such as a FREE one-month family membership to a local gym, gift cards to tons of healthy restaurants in the area, and beyond all, a signed football by NFL player Victor Cruz.
With the local sponsors present at our event, we had the pleasure of having Caragh, a GENYOUth representative on-site at our event too! Special thanks and shout-out to GENYOUth and Alexis Glick (CEO of GENYOUth) for such a kind and motivational message to our school and community, for the signed Victor Cruz football, and moreover, for attending and supporting us from the national level!
Our team worked extremely hard to raise funds, communicate with our sponsors, help set up the venue, and in all, to pull this entire event off in just under a month! I’m incredibly proud, overwhelmed, grateful and beyond all, blessed to have such an amazing group of individuals to have planned and led this event with!
We did it – we fueled greatness with the people who matter the most to us, and that clearly spoke tremendous volumes!
