Each year, my Grandpa generously lets my Dad and I choose a Green Bay Packer home game to go to. This year we chose the October 22nd game against the New Orleans Saints for a couple of reasons:

1. Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints. In spring of 2016, Fuel Up to Play 60 sent me to Washington, DC to attend the President’s Council on Fitness Sports and Nutrition annual meeting. Drew Brees was the co-chair. He is a future Hall of Fame quarterback for the NFL and I’ve always admired him. For years I have had a poster of him on my bedroom door. Finally, I got to see him play in person!
2. Brett Hundley of the Green Bay Packers. When we chose this game months ago, Aaron Rodgers was the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. In the game previous to ours, Aaron Rodgers was sacked by Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr and broke his collarbone. As a result, he had surgery and may be out for the season. The backup quarterback Brett Hundley came in to replace Aaron Rodgers. Brett Hundley came to visit our school on December 6, 2016 thanks to FUTP 60 and The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. We got to spend time with him and show him our smoothie bike and we even named a smoothie after him!

The game started out with Drew not doing so well and Brett using his legs to get the job done. It was fun to watch both quarterbacks play whom I’ve met in person through my FUTP 60 experiences. In the second half, the legend that I know, Drew Brees played awesomely and had a great finish. Most Packer fans were not happy with the final score of New Orleans 26 and Green Bay 17. Even though I was wearing my Drew Brees jersey, I received many high fives from both Packer and Saints fans after the game. Just goes to show you that a great game of football can bring people together! Thanks to FUTP 60 for the opportunity to meet some incredible NFL players!
