One Friday, my high school had Hula Hoop Contest during lunch. Before the contest, I was able to go around and talk to local stores with a letter I created; asking for donations that our team could use for prizes. For the Hula Hoop contest, I got three $10 gift cards to Model’s Sporting Goods store. I also got five other prizes from Brookestone to give away in a later contest.

In my school, we have three lunches, so it was perfect because I had three gift cards; which meant we could have three contests and winners. At the end of each lunch, we brought five students up to participate, and thus the contest began with music, hula hoopers, and excitement! Everyone at lunch was cheering and when the contest was going long we started adding in tricks to help determine a winner.

This was such a fun activity break for everyone that the team and I could do!
