My name is Brody and I attended the GENYOUth Gala! GENYOUth is an organization that promotes and helps youth. They have provided over $3,000,000 to youth around the U.S. GENYOUth has an annual Gala that includes Dairy Farmers, Students, FUTP 60 Program Advisors, CEO’s and other famous people within the program. It was a great honor to be invited and represent FUTP 60 and GENYOUth!

This year’s Gala theme was Rise by Lifting Others and was held in the United States Museum of Natural History which is in New York City. I had an eye-opening experience and everyone there was wonderful! To start the evening, Alexis Glick welcomed everyone, and then we continued with a prayer. Kevin Warren, Roger Goodell, and James (JB) Brown all spoke. James Brown talked about how we need a RELATIONSHIP instead of a SPONSORSHIP. This was James Brown’s biggest and best possible information to share with others who CAN make a difference!

I also believe that a positive relationship, self-assurance, and someone to rely on is always a great improvement and change from sponsorships! Being a sponsor means that you might donate or support a program, but being in a RELATIONSHIP means that you can rely on the other person/business. One of the biggest supporters of in my personal FUTP 60 journey is the Midwest Dairy and I love the RELATIONSHIP I have with them. Once again, thank you to Midwest Dairy, GENYOUth and Fuel Up to Play 60 for a wonderful experience in New York City! If you are older than 13, follow @FUTP60 and @GENYOUTHNOW

I learned to RISE BY LIFTING OTHERS and I plan to bring that idea back to my community and school!
