After getting back from this past summer’s Student Ambassador Summit in Chicago, I was fueled with ideas for the upcoming school year. So I got together with my Program Advisor and the rest of our school’s Fuel Up to Play 60 team and talked about our plans for the school year. One thing we decided on was to implement the In-Class Physical Activity Break Play from the 2015-2016 Playbook.

We decided we needed to talk to the principal about Fuel Up to Play 60 and the Play, since we have a new principal this year. We set up a meeting with the principal, who told us we could present at a faculty meeting. After hearing that, we created a presentation for the meeting.

We thought we needed a creative name for the breaks so we came up with JAM Breaks, which stands for “Just a Minute”. We also came up with a list of stretches. We took the list and made enough copies to pass out to all of the teachers, and laminated it and printed it on blue paper for the meeting!
