Two weeks ago, my high school Fuel Up to Play 60 team and I went on a field trip. We went to our school district’s elementary school to speak to the fifth graders about Fuel Up to Play 60. The elementary school has had some Fuel Up to Play 60 experience in the past, but unfortunately the program lost involvement.

Our plan was to present to the fifth graders about how awesome this program is and how to join the team next year at the middle school level. We wanted to motivate the kids to become leaders and show them how being ambassadors has changed our schools and communities.

The result was awesome! The students were super excited and had so many questions for us. We did a brain break and some students were interested in doing them in classes on a regular basis. Many students want to become ambassadors and have the cool opportunities available to us! Some teachers were willing to become program advisors.

This was an awesome way to spread the word about the program and get people excited about making a change.
