My first week of December was definitely an unforgettable one. I was fortunate enough to be invited to the 2019 GENYOUth Gala. During the three days that we spent there, my sister and I were able to explore and venture out into New York City, which definitely was super cold compared to Arizona. Apart from getting the opportunity to explore a new city, I was also able to be one of the special guests for the event. I truly can’t decide what my favorite part of the event was. First, we had a very informal dinner where we were able to walk around and network with others. Then, we made our way over to the main venue where we watched an opening speech from Roger Goodell who then introduced Andrew and I on stage where we were able to talk about GENYOUth, Fuel Up to Play 60, and Adventure Capital. We were followed by the CEO of GENYOUth, Alexis Glick, who came up on stage to say a few words. We also had a few guests recognized for all their hard work throughout their community, including Kevin Warren who is a hero and someone who truly cares for others before he cares for himself. We also had a live action paddle raise fundraiser to be able to raise money for breakfast carts to go around the nation.  It was truly amazing to see how we were able to raise nearly two million dollars so quickly and how much our sponsors really care about us and our future. Overall, this was an unforgettable night.  I will always and forever cherish it and, most importantly, I will always stand alongside these programs because they are doing for our generation and our future what no one else is.

Thank you,
