As important members of Fuel Up to Play 60 and as leaders in our communities, it is imperative that we learn to become better speakers.
I was challenged with this task nearly a month ago when I was invited to the Browns stadium to speak in front of school administrators from over 50 schools in Ohio.
Naturally, I was nervous having never imagined speaking to an audience of this kind of importance! It was rather challenging initially, however, towards the end I was full of confidence. I spoke of the Fuel Up to Play 60 website and lots of ideas that would help get students excited about the program.
Talking to a large audience for the first time I think I did well. I hope that other students will also step up to talk in front of people and perform well. I love Fuel Up to Play 60 because even though it is hard work, it pays off. For me, this is because I had the opportunity to meet Joe Thomas, who is an NFL football player for the Browns. Secondly, because participants get a chance to make a change not only in their states but also throughout the nation!
Great job Izma! Sometimes, I have trouble with public speaking too from time to time, but I think it’s a very great challenge to overcome!
Public speaking is a tough thing to do I have trouble speaking in public too. Also Fuel Up To Play 60 rocks !!!!
