With the weather turning cooler and the leaves changing, all I can think about is the upcoming NFL season! Here are some of the highlights that I am personally looking forward to:

Being the Dallas Cowboy fan that I am, this season has brought a lot of changes to this team. With one of the best tight ends retiring (Jason Witten), and losing a standout wide receiver (Dez Bryant). As a fan, we don’t know what this will do to an offense that was one of the best in my opinion. Although, with the introduction of wide receivers such as Allen Hurns, Trevon Austin and rookie Michael Gallup, hopefully this group will have a positive impact on the 2018-19 season.

I watched some college football this year and noticed a running back with great potential in Saquon Barkley who was drafted second overall to the New York Giants.

Since I live in Wisconsin, it is known to me that UW Whitewater is a Division 3 college that annually has a good football team. I’ll be keeping an eye on Jake Kumerow, a former wide receiver of the Warhawks, to see if he actually makes it on the Green Bay Packers 2018-19 season active roster.

It’s always easy to root for the underdog. With the Cleveland Browns being 1-31 in the last two years, this upcoming season could prove to be a good one.  With their recent first round draft pick of Baker Mayfield, who is a Heisman trophy winner, and their pickup of Jarvis Landry, it should make this team more powerful and fun to watch.

Two years ago, Teddy Bridgewater suffered a gruesome knee injury which could’ve ended his career. Being the athlete that he is, he worked through the injury to get picked up again by the New York Jets. It’ll be nice to see him back on the field.

Lastly, I had the pleasure of meeting twins Devin and Jason McCourty at a few of the FUTP60 national summits. In years past, they have always played on separate teams. This year however, they get to play together on the New England Patriots.

The 2018-19 season looks like it should be a memorable one!
