The school year has started off BIG! I’m playing football and we are already 4-0 and in First Place! As a State Ambassador, I attended a meeting at the Rams Training Camp to kick off the school year! My new school didn’t have the Fuel Up to Play 60 program—but we have been working hard with our principal and the school district so lots of good stuff is happening! We had a kickoff for the football season where ALL KIDS wore their spirit wear jerseys and in P.E., we got to play flag football! It was LOTS of fun!
Earlier this month, I went on TV with my local dairy counselor and we talked about how much eating breakfast in the morning helps you. It really helps fuel your mind for the day. On TV, we made a banana mix with yogurt, pretzels, and bananas. It was easy, tasted good, and is something even kids can make. Breakfast truly is the most important meal of the day and you should definitely not miss it. I was talking to my school nurse and she said that a lot of kids come in to her office every morning saying that they have headaches; this is because those kids just think that they can miss breakfast and everything will be ok. I’m here to tell you to eat a healthy breakfast every morning and remember to stay active for at least 60 minutes a day.
