Blair Huddle Photo 1Hi everyone! This is Blair from Arkansas! I am excited to be writing this post as both Miss Teen International and as a Fuel Up to Play 60 Ambassador! Living a healthy lifestyle and encouraging others to do the same has been something I have valued for a long time. I am proud to say that I was introduced to the Fuel Up to Play 60 program through my mom’s P.E. program at my elementary alma mater and it was a huge inspiration for my platform Be Proactive, Get Active that I started over 2 years ago when I began competing in pageants. Since then, I have had the privilege of helping schools establish Fuel Up to Play 60 programs.

It is amazing how many doors have been opened through my participation in pageantry to spread awareness of the importance of childhood health. I like to think of the crown as a big microphone that allows me to spread a message bigger than I ever could on my own. But with this voice comes great responsibility! People now look to me to set a positive example especially when it comes to health. I strive to be the best possible role model when a student looks to me for inspiration, guidance, or even just a helping hand!

Blair Huddle Photo 2One of my favorite things I do in my school to promote healthy living is reading a health tip on the daily announcements for almost 3,000 students and staff to hear. I have learned that small steps to a healthier life can make a BIG difference! I will also get to encourage other schools to adopt a Fuel Up to Play 60 program as I travel throughout my reign! This year I plan to use the title of Miss Teen International, the skills I learned at the Ambassador Summit, and the tools on the Fuel Up to Play 60 website to be an effective leader!

But who says you have to be a pageant queen to make a difference? Each Ambassador and Fuel Up to Play 60 participant has special character traits, skills, and resources to make huge impacts in his or her school, community, and state. By working as a team, we can improve childhood health!

Blair hopefully everyone sees you as an inspiration and not a pageant girl, you’re an amazing person and that shouldn’t ever change because everybody I know would love to be in your shoes, I was an ambassador last year and I realized how very important it is to stay healthy and to spread the word about it in a good way.

Bye and know you can depend on your friends
    P.S my name is Nicole

Awesome Blair!!! I don’t know if you remember, but I met you at the summit, but for anyone who thinks she just a pageant winner, you’re wrong!!! She is awesome and amazing, I’m so happy for her!!! Keep the awesomeness at a maximum!!!

I love fuel up to play 60. It’s a cool and fun way to get us kids active and staying healthy. I also like the idea of it being kind of like a completion, whoever has the most points gets to go on trips, who wouldn’t want to do that! #fuel up! 🙂 😉 😀
