Lizzie B. Huddle PhotoOn February 8, 2014 I was asked to participate in the North Carolina PTA Emerging Leaders Conference and represent my school and Fuel Up to Play 60 as North Carolina’s State Ambassador. The conference was held in Charlotte, NC and we spent most of the day with the members of this awesome organization.   It was such an honor to be there along with my Program Advisor Ms. Smith and Carolina Panther Ben Hartsock. I sat on a panel with Ben Hartsock, my Program Advisor, and another Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Advisor. We answered questions that parents of the organization had about how to get involved in Fuel Up to Play 60 and what all Fuel Up to Play 60 did as an organization. I also got to tell the exciting news to the members of the North Carolina PTA about my school being one of the five Grand Prize Winners in the Make Your Move contest. I was really nervous being there and sitting on the panel, talking in front of so many people but I got through the jitters. I was just hoping they would ask me the questions I had practiced with my mom and Program Advisor. I got through it and had a blast!  I am getting this speaking in public thing down pat!  I think one thing that helps to make it easier to speak in front of a crowd is the subject, and I love talking about Fuel Up to Play 60! Being a State Ambassador has been a great experience and I would encourage everyone to work hard at their school, be involved, and start your own Plays. Fuel Up to Play 60 is the BEST!
