Chris Huddle Photo_09232014On September 3, I had a very good experience with Fuel Up to Play 60 in Seattle, WA. I had the opportunity to meet and even interview NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, NFL alumni players, as well as the mascot from the Seattle Seahawks. Plus I had an amazing time at the NFL kick-off, Seahawks – Packers game! I learned about the FLAG Football program that is starting up in the major cities across the nation. I feel that the FLAG Football program will be great for many reasons. Personally, I feel like I would have loved to do FLAG Football when I was younger because I was really small, and FLAG Football would have allowed me to play a really safe sport. That is a huge reason I like the FLAG program, because of its safety. I was also excited by getting to do another interview, but this time I was the one being interviewed! Meeting Walter Thurmond from the New York Giants was really fun too!

Also, another great part of the trip was interviewing Roger Goodell. I liked asking my silly question: “Since the Seahawks are going to win the Super Bowl anyways, why aren’t we just giving them the trophy now?” It was great to see Roger’s point of view on things. In conclusion, this trip was a very fun and thrilling experience that I was fortunate enough to have. I truly believe that this FLAG Football program will be very successful in schools across the USA!
