Because of Fuel Up to Play 60 my school made a lot of changes! We had two different taste tests for healthy foods last year. Our cafeteria is now serving much healthier foods, and the kids at school are seeing things in the cafeteria that we tried in our taste tests. Everyone got new recipes and ingredients to try at home. Because of Fuel Up to Play 60 our Parent Teacher Association will be doing healthy fundraisers this year instead of cookie dough sales. One will be healthy trail mixes and salsas and another will be a jog-a-thon! Our school kicked-off this year with a Healthy Tailgate Party and we have a ton of people from the community setting up booths and things to show what healthy things are available in our area. We are meeting as a team of students now and are learning how important and heard our voices can actually be. We are excited to see how Fuel Up to Play 60 will make a difference this year too!
