Nadya Huddle Photo 1Recently, my fellow New Jersey Ambassadors and I traveled to Radio City Music Hall to attend the 2014 NFL Draft. When we arrived, we met up with the New York Ambassadors and we all introduced ourselves. We quickly connected and shared some of our past experiences as Ambassadors. We got into the grand building and found seats in the auditorium. I overheard many children in the audience rave about how their role models were NFL players. I was happy to hear that football players were kids’ role models because that meant they looked up to them and wanted to live a healthy life like they do!

Nadya Huddle Photo 3We then went to the green room where we all brainstormed questions that we would be asking when interviewing the New York Jets player, Chris Ivory. My fellow Ambassadors asked amazing questions such as, “What’s your favorite breakfast?” and “Who is your biggest motivation?” As it came to my turn, I first asked Chris, “How do you feel about the NFL taking a stand against childhood obesity?” He graciously answered by saying that he is proud that the NFL is doing this because being active and healthy as a kid is vital to growing up in a healthy way. After that I asked, “If you were not a football player, what would you be?” He had a quick response by saying he would want to be a psychologist or boxer. Those answers were really interesting and definitely cool! With more questions, Chris gave us a look into the healthy life he lives and he really inspired me.

Overall, I had an amazing time interviewing Chris Ivory, meeting other Ambassadors, and getting to promote Fuel Up to Play 60 at the Draft. This was an amazing experience that taught me many things about being healthy and active!
