This year, there have been many ups and downs of getting Fuel Up to Play 60 into action at my school, such as getting the administration on board. But my greatest achievement this school year as a State Ambassador is getting the school lunches to change. For many years, we had very unhealthy lunches and we had no fresh fruits and vegetables. This year, our school received a grant to help improve our school lunches with healthier options, such as salad, and now we have more fresh fruits and vegetables. It has also been a struggle with the a la carte items because there were so many unhealthy items such as chips and candy. But now, we have a lot more healthier snack options such as popcorn and crackers. As a student, I care about what I eat for lunch, and I’m glad we have these healthier options at our school. For me, this is my greatest achievement.

I would love to do this because it is a great way to fuel up your body with energy to do.
