Hey this is Blake. I have recently been selected as a State Ambassador for Idaho with my twin brother Dylan. We are both excited to attend the Student Ambassador Summit in Chicago, Illinois this summer. The countdown is on!
I participate in sports year around. Playing springtime sports is one of my favorites. Coming out of the winter months, it is feels great to be outside. I like playing in a gym, but when the weather starts getting warm, I love being outdoors. Dylan and I play on the same Little League baseball team. Our team practices 3 to 4 times and have 1 to 2 games a week. It is a big time commitment but I would not have it any other way. Being on the team allows me to stay very physically active and have fun with my team.
The baseball team that I was drafted to has a mix of players from other schools. Let’s just say, I have made ten new friends! I have been able to share a bit about the Fuel Up to Play 60 program with my teammates. Since my teammates go to different schools, some kids have heard about the program, and some have not.
Baseball is an awesome game to play. I like to play 1st base, pitch and catch. When you are playing defense, you always have to be ready. You never know where the ball is going to go. When you’re at bat, you need to be quick. There are so many strategies to know, which makes playing baseball fun! If you are not currently on a baseball team, find a ball, a bat, and some friends and head outside to play ball!
